The regulation for the relaxation of the Corona protection measures, valid from June 1, brings in further consequences and changes with the green passport. From August 23, the combination of vaccination and recovery will no longer be sufficient for 3G detection. Otherwise, as expected, the regulation suspends the mask requirement in vital stores, pharmacies, and public transport until August 23. The exemptions from the 3G duty will be adjusted to those from the vaccination duty.
This means three uniform stitches are needed for basic immunization – the National Immunization Panel has already recommended this. A recovery before the first vaccination was considered a separate “immunological event.” Unchanged, recovery is still valid for six months, but it no longer replaces a vaccination, the Ministry of Health said.
The masking requirement remains in place in “particularly vulnerable settings” such as hospitals, spas, and other sites where health and care services are provided and in retirement and nursing homes. The masking requirement also remains in mobile care (except in the disabled sector).
In contrast, there is no mask obligation in inpatient residential facilities for the disabled due to the “relatively lower vulnerability of the persons staying there and against the background of practicability in the area of disabled care in everyday life,” according to the Ministry of Health. Further upright in this area remains the 3G obligation. The same applies to mobile care services in the disability sector.
Further change: The so far prescribed minimum distances between inoculations are omitted. This is justified by “easier enforceability and uniformity” – in addition; doctors are generally bound by the minimum intervals when vaccinating anyway.
In addition, further exceptions to the 3G rule have been created (besides pregnancy and danger to health from a vaccination) – its proof is now also omitted for those persons who would also not be subject to the vaccination obligation due to a lack of immune response to vaccination. Confirmation is sufficient for those who have already received a vaccination exemption.
The Ministry of Health expects to reintroduce compulsory masking in the fall, although this could also be possible if the number of cases increases. Vienna’s federal capital continues to go its way and retains the mask obligation, at least in public means of transport, medical practices, and pharmacies. It wants to regulate this in its ordinance, which has yet to be issued. Travelers to the federal capital will have to put the mask back on when passing the Vienna city limits.
The Corona vaccination obligation remains suspended throughout the country over the summer. They should have been punished with offenses against the obligation starting from in the middle of March. On the recommendation of the expert commission, the vaccination obligation was suspended, however, until for the time being 1 June. Now, this regulation is extended after a further recommendation of the experts over the summer (likewise for three months).
